Well ladies. We did it. What an Amazing, Wonderful, Godly two days. Susie Shellenberger was, as always; insightful, funny, to the point and Biblically sound! We appreciate all who showed up, came up, ate it up, saddled up, drove up, sang it up, praised it up, preached it up, talked it up, served it up, helped it up, wrote it up, listened up and in the end gave it all up to be . . . NEVER THE SAME!!!

What a privilege it was to be a part of the annual celebration for Youth On Their Own....YOTO. A fantastic organization started right here in Tucson that makes a big difference for over 1900 homeless kids.

You know my friends, the world seems to be getting worse and worse when it comes to Biblical values. Darkness seems to be surrounding us, the more we see; the decisions ,the laws, the people, the leaders and we ask is there any solution? Well, the Apostle Paul says in the book of Philippians, chapter two, YOU ARE THE SOLUTION! The answer to ALL the darkness is the light of God's faith and God's Word in you as you radiate godliness during this discouraging time. There's a lot of darkness in this world. Maybe there's some darkness in your sphere or in your family, but by God's grace YOU be the light and shine like a star, showing God's word to those you love.

I encourage you to bring the toughest nut!!! God is in the business of changing the people that you think are impossible. You probably have someone like that in your life! Philippians 1 God used his suffering to promote the Gospel in places that you think are impossible. My friends, I challenge you. . . Think about it! Who's that impossible person in your life? God can Break Through! You never know what God is gonna do!!!

We've been going through a very unique time! Lots of crazy weather, lots of unique things in and around our community. People have been telling me they are struggling - feels like some extra burdens are going on right now! Matthew 11:28 tells us 'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.' Very similarly in 1st Peter 5:10 'And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.' We find ourselves walking away from the things of God! We need to get back to the things the Lord would have in our life! Allow God to carry those burdens - He'll give us rest - He'll sustain us! Let's not find ourselves walking away from God! I encourage YOU today, keep in His Word, keep fellow-shipping with one another and through it all; He will sustain you, guide you and protect you in every way!

Do you remember when you were a child and wherever you lived you had that odd snow - you’d anticipate the snowfall. You’d look out the window; your eyes would brighten up, you could hardly wait to get out and play in that stuff. The snow is a wonderful metaphor for the great, exciting things God has for us as well. Psalm 51:7 - Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Snow was a picture to David of God’s grace of forgiveness; that no matter what I’ve done, no matter where I’ve gone, no matter what I’ve become, that God’s grace can forgive me if I’m willing to repent! Today, as we’re looking at the snow, as we’re looking at this wonderful metaphor; I encourage you to open your eyes to the excitement that it represents God’s grace to you, his forgiveness to you. It’s available every day to you if you trust Him. I’m here to tell you that if you trust in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ; You. Will. Be. Saved! That He will separate your sins as far as the east is from the west. As if they’re in the deepest sea and He will take your sins, even though they are like scarlet, He will make them white as snow. Allow this snow fall today to remind you of His wonderful grace and enjoy it! Let your eyes brighten up with great joy, go out and play in all the goodness and grace He has for you.

And you thought all those Snowbirds were coming here to escapee something?!?! Wanna build a snowman??? Have a white wonderland blessed Friday!!!

Yesterday Community Church at SaddleBrooke presented $6,000 in emergency funding for retired Wycliffe missionaries here in Catalina. What a joy to serve these wonderful folks who sacrificed so much to translate the Word of God!!

Over 95 men were present this morning at the 2019 CCSB Men's Breakfast featuring Craig "Sawman" Sawyer and it was AWESOME! What an Amazing message Craig has of faith and his continuing efforts to fight the war on child trafficking. We will continue to lift him and his team in prayers as they live in the trenches and fight the evil of the world. Keep an eye on our website (ccsb.us) for some video and more photo's to come!

In our church family recently, we've been talking about how to be a "Champion of the Gospel"! I'm sure a lot of people think, that's easy for pastors or bold people, but how can a person like me be a Champion of the Gospel? We make it to big of a deal and to hard. I was reading in Colossians 4:6 and it says, "Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone." He expects me to have such a Godly lifestyle, to march to the beat of a different drummer, in such a way that people are coming to me asking me questions. 1 What do you Believe? 2 How did you come to believe that? 3 Why do you want to believe that? My friends, sharing the Gospel, the good news, is just telling people what Christ has done for you. I pray that God would give you eyes that are open to see the people in your world today that need you to love them for Jesus Christ!

SouperBowl Sunday "Stuff The Truck" February 3rd marks our 5th Annual Souper Bowl Soup Drive for Tri- Community Food Bank. This is our opportunity to serve our community with several months supply of soup. So...Let's stuff the truck!!! And don't forget to wear your favorite High School, College or Professional football attire for this wonderful day of Spirit-filled worship... A great day to invite a friend or two. Pastor Steve's morning message will be... "God has a Game Plan for You".... as a retired NFL Referee he may have some special insight that is tailored just for you. Come early to get a great seat! Oh yeah, and don't forget your soup!!!

Many people feel inadequate or feel that they can't minister to other people. They think they don't have "IT"! You just need to be there! If you're willing to be the person God has called you to be, God can use you to do some amazing things! Col 1:24 ~ Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of His body, which is the church. The Apostle Paul was willing to be there! To be Present! To reflect the love of God towards people in his own life. God uses all of us. We all have a sphere of influence and all He calls us to do is to be faithful and to show up, to participate in God's work in our sphere of influence. All ya gotta do is be there! Today, OPEN your EYES! look around you and be there, be God's person for the people in your path today

Here we are in the middle of all the holiday festivities. It can be a great family time; a lot of us will be traveling and spending time together. There's a joy to all of that but sometimes there is a little sadness. It can create a venue where competitive spirits, family mistakes or resentments come to the surface and you find yourself missing some of the joy of the season because of those conflicts. 1st Corinthians 11:19~ No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God’s approval. The beauty of these conflicts is they give us the opportunity to show that we have God's approval upon us - not because were special, not because were better than others but because we respond in a different way. You can't control all the stuff that goes on in life, relationships & family but you can control who you are and respond in a way that is full of God's Grace! I hope people see that I am GENUINE because you and I have God's Approval!

The Gap What God has for us vs. How we function on an everyday basis The Apostle Paul says; "Walk worthy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! In reality, we will never measure up to Christ until we see him face to face. Philippians 2 Imitating Christ = Shinning like a star in the universe! Be kind & Gracious to others, this will help close the gap between who I am and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Today you’re going to meet someone, they’re going to frustrate you, you’re going to be hurt and angry but.... Remember the Gap! Remember Christ! So that your walking worthy to the gospel of our Lord.
